a PSA if anyone is actually reading out there:

the things i write under the label “jot” are just writings.  they often have absolutely nothing to do with my life.  i got over incorporating dramatic things going on in my life into blogging, thankfully, a few years ago.

just a creative outlet.  (read: often a store-house of bad writings.)

ohh, do i miss blogging. i got lost in old livejournal entries for over an hour tonight when i should have been doing work. it tugged so hard at things that i knew i’ve been missing for awhile now.

i’m doing this. i have to. i’ve been trying to frame (how much do the 2000s love this word?) this blog into something far narrower than i’ve needed.

i need somewhere to run around, stretch the legs, throw some shit in the air, post odes to sweaters and pictures of popovers.

i need this.

at the risk of sounding trite on post 1, i’ve been too worried about what to feed the monster, when this was the food all along.

i’m doing this. it’s happening. i’m not sure who is out there, but i’m here for real this time.
